The twist in this surreal set-up: To emphasize the couple's socially obsessive preoccupation with the dancer, both are portrayed as the dancer himself. The husband is shown as a professional masseur to convey, by sarcastic implication, what ballet insiders ostensibly believed to have been at the root of the preoccupaion.

The musical box, created and signed by a prominent lady in 1979, is dedicated to a gentleman.
