Alexander Glazunov
Raymonda and Jean are married at the court of King Andrei.
In honor of the monarch, Hungarian dances are performed
during the wedding festivities. Source & full-length ballet plot

Nureyev's full-length, three-act Raymonda was premièred
by The Royal Ballet Touring Company at the Spoleto Festival,
Italy, in 1964. Raymonda Act III he specifically devised
for the Royal Opera House in 1966, featuring an entirely new
set and new costumes designed by Barry Kay.

Subsequently, The Royal Ballet Principal Company premièred
Raymonda Act III in 1969 [ibidem]. Due to its enduring success
with the audience, this production has not only remained in
the repertory of The Royal Ballet to this day but also continues
to be toured worldwide.

The Archive's mission of predominantly distinguishing first
performances of productions, or those of their presentations
either by different companies or at new seasons and special
events, does not permit listing the sheer number of presentations
Raymonda Act III has enjoyed ever since its inception. Only
appearances at major venues shall thus get recorded here,
eventually.

For additional performance dates, venues and locations
please consult the Coton Collection at the Royal Holloway
Library, Information Services.
