BELGRADE THEATRE
Corporation Street
Coventry
21st January, 1958.
Dear Mr. Kay,
I heard a great deal about your work, although I have unfortunately not had an opportunity of seeing what you have done, either for the Old Vic or the Western Theatre Ballet Company, but I have heard a great deal about it and I am wondering whether you might be at all interested in the new venture that is shortly to start here in Coventry.
The Belgrade Theatre, the first theatre to be built for over 20 years, will be opening at the end of March, and we have in the initial programme some interesting plays and it in this connection that I would be pleased to meet you, should you feel at all interested.
I have been given your address by Charles Landstone but unfortunately he did not give me a telephone number. As I am in London only for odd days at the moment, I am wondering whether you could telephone me at my London number, Canonbury 5443 late on Wednesday night, or failing that, if you drop me a line suggesting a time when we could meet, within the next few days.
Yours sincerely,
Bryan Bailey
Director.
